Husband & wife custom knife makers Sydney and Ben work together in Charleston SC to make unique one-off individual custom knifes. Their work blends “use-it-everyday” performance with the kind of detail you usually only see in true collector pieces.
We’ve owned a 6″ hand-forged Burls & Steel knife since 2018, and it’s still a daily driver: sharp, light, and comfortable, with steel that’s developed a deep, rich patina over the years. Since then, Ben and Sydney’s knives have become even more refined—cleaner lines, more polished fit-and-finish—while keeping that signature handmade character we fell in love with.
