Brown Blades
In late October 2024, after years appreciating the art of Bladesmithing on YouTube and a decade watching the popular show Forged in Fire, Erick (ET) Brown made the decision to buy a forge from Amazon and make his first blade. That 8″ Tanto was the first of more than 200 knives and swords he has made since that fateful day. ET designs and fabricates his own Damascus steel and specializes in copper, nickel and brass San Mai, Go Mai, Kyu Mai & Juu san Mai (3, 5, 9, 13 layer) knives. ET strives to make every knife he creates a functional work of art and believes real value and quality requires a deep commitment to growth, innovation and self-assessment. His dedication to craftsmanship is evident in the beauty and functionality of his work. Erick’s forge is located in Cecil County MD where he has worked in Public Education for the last 24 years and currently serves as the Principal of Elkton Middle School.
ET Brown is new to knife making but you would never know it based on the quality of his knives and his attention to detail make him a knife maker to watch. Based in Maryland ET is a middle school principal inspiring young people to try new things. We enjoyed talking with ET at the Atlanta Blade show and are happy he as a 360KnifeBlock MAX as part of his trade show display.
